Harper King is a self-taught photographer, currently located in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in Eagle River, Alaska and relocated to Portland, Oregon at 19. Shooting the local punk, hardcore, and metal scene, she is not afraid to push her way through pits to get the shot. Always committed to getting documentation that grasps the real feeling of being in the room. Finding her way through the world of photography, Harper has worked in many different fields including editorial portrait sessions, creating album art, touring and documenting musicians, portraits of up and coming artists and friends, product and merchandise lines, creative direction,  production assist, you name it and she is up for it. Harper’s style tends to air on the side of moody and reflective while still maintaining a tough and real edge that leads the viewer to feel the sharpness of being present in that moment.
